Kids - they're absolutely watching!

Thankgiving at 804 Boot Camp 2012 (42) We're pretty sure that the workout on Thanksgiving will give you DOUBLE CALORIE BURN!

Now that we're finished with our feast I'm buzzing around cleaning with plenty of time to think.

I am just so proud of all of the people I know that are off running the trails, running races, organizing friends to get out and take a walk, thinking twice about food choices, cooking food rather than eating it out of a can/package/box...it's like a dream come true when our campers have the spirit to help someone else feel great too.

Since 2006 we've hosted a free boot camp and pushed hard to get KIDS out there too!

We need our children to see that exercise is F-U-N!  It's great to see the adults watching the kids do their workout (thank you Vicki and Morgan for Instructing) and hear the comments, "man I wish I'd had that when I was young!".  And when I stood amongst the yapping and happy kids eager to do WHATEVER the next challenge is I hear them having SO MUCH FUN not even realizing they're exercising.Thankgiving at 804 Boot Camp 2012 (148)

That, to me, means that EXERCISE really IS FUN!  And it really does make you laugh and giggle.  And you might sweat, but who cares really because it isn't about how you look when you are a real kid.  It's about finding the most fun thing ever OVER and OVER.

We are big people and we have important responsibilities that our little guys and gals are dependent on (they are watching closer than you realize).  BUT we can learn from them about a period of life that was just about learning, figuring life out in a simple way, waking up every day wondering what fun was happening that we might be missing out on (I speak for myself of the memories I had when I woke up and stretched)...and watching all of those "big people" get along with each other.

How about carrying on your awesome healthy choices of good nutrition and moving your body across the planet for the rest of your life!

It WILL make you a happier person and if there's one thing I believe, it's WAY more fun hanging out with the happiest person you know.

Just ask a kid what the last super fun thing they did was to get some ideas if this stumped you.
